‘I Got You / Don’t Let Me Go’ EP is a two-track house music EP, inspired by the emotional state of flow that we experience when making music. The two tracks deliver contrasting feelings: one is more upbeat and energetic, while the other is more laid-back and chill.
‘I Got You’ mirrors the thrill of a brilliant idea. It features a blend of open acoustic piano chords and a dreamy electric piano melody, creating a nostalgic ‘old school’ ambience. The track gradually builds up with the addition of female vocal samples, culminating in a powerful main break with a sustained vocal shot.
“Don’t Let Me Go” represents the end of a creative session. It features soft female vocals and evocative Rhodes chords that dance over a pulsating beat. The track is grounded by an elastic, bouncing bass and the organic sounds of acoustic drums. Bright pads intermittently inject a sense of anticipation into the atmosphere. As the track draws to a close, a liquid 303 adds a hypnotic touch to the groove.
